The Source, formerly known as Radio Shack, was having a difficult time engaging customers. In a limited
space with few store staff, the challenge was creating an experience where consumers could try out their
favorite electronic gadgets. SLD was hired to examine The Source’s customer experience and determine
how to re-establish its reputation as the go-to place for the latest electronics.
BLINK
The store became more focused on immersion, with interactive devices placed in every corner to increase
customer excitement. Mobile phones, internet, TV services, and The Source-specific promotions can all be
found on digital displays to raise awareness. Tablets and screens are used alongside products to show
customers their benefits, and tablet-based checkouts are available for more purchasing options. Dedicated
focal points highlight hero products, such as headphones or the latest mobile device. The new design
provides an improved customer experience, allowing shoppers to engage with the latest and greatest in
technology.
