The 2021 Digital Transformation Ecological Conference recently took place in Xiamen, China. Focused on the theme of “Aggregating New Ecology, Sharing New Security,” the event brought together industry and government leaders to discuss a wide range of topics surrounding digital finance and network security – as well as celebrate some of the best in digital technology innovation from the past year. SLD is proud to have been recognized at the conference for our work with Industrial Bank, taking home a Popularity Star and Gold Award for Special Field Innovation.
As part of the conference, the 2021 China Financial Digital Technology Innovation Competition and Popularity Challenges featured over 200 entrants that ranged from blockchain and artificial intelligence to cloud services and other cutting-edge fields of financial technology. Once a short-list was announced, over three million people voted for their favorite projects for the Popularity Challenge, while a panel of industry experts reviewed projects for the Special Field Innovation category.
“It is a tremendous honor for our work to be selected by both industry experts and the public. It is a true testament to how the Industrial Bank design resonates with people of all life stages and backgrounds,” says Teddy Ma Bing, Managing Director, Pacific Rim.
One of the main features that sets the Industrial Bank flagship branch apart is the Children’s Banking area. While most financial institutions may ignore younger age groups, a point of emphasis within the Industrial Bank branch is to educate and excite visitors – regardless of age or financial standing.
“By creating an interactive learning experience for children that leverages everything from touch screens to smart robots, we have created an inclusive ecosystem that also cultivates the next generation of customers,” explains Jean-Pierre Lacroix, President of SLD. “Ultimately, we believe that banking doesn’t have to be a chore, and the Industrial Bank flagship shows how fun and interactive going to the branch really can be.”
