Shikatani Lacroix Design and U.S. Bank are proud to have been awarded First Place in the Best Branch Experience category at the 2019 Bank Customer Experience Summit. The award is in recognition of a new branch design created with U.S. Bank.
“Winning Best Branch Experience is a tremendous honor,” says Jean-Pierre Lacroix, President of SLD. “We share a vision with U.S. Bank that the bank of the future has to move away from transactional services and really focus on providing advice and fostering a sense of community. This branch is a great example of that idea.”
Located in East Village, San Diego, the first iteration of the new U.S. Bank branch design provides a modern, immersive customer experience that highlights the local community in which it is located. Merging digital with physical, the branch offers interactive teller machines and educational resources through digital touchpoints, while individual offices were replaced with pods and a community room was created to give customers the opportunity to host their own meetings.
“Our initial implementation of this design is about more than one branch, it is about fundamentally changing the experience of our customers,” said Chris Manske, Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Expansion, U.S. Bank. “The feedback we have received on the East Village branch from the customers and community has been overwhelmingly positive, and this award is further validation that we are on the right track with our approach to customer experience. We are excited to implement our new customer obsessed design in retail locations across the country.”
