WHO SHE IS
Melinda’s background in storytelling began in theatre, film and television where she worked as a creative and producer for many years before shifting her focus to brand stories. She strongly believes that regardless of the industry or medium, powerful brands are grounded in a meaningful brand position and executed as three-dimensional, living stories. In addition to brand and marketing strategy for our clients, she is the host of the SLD podcast, Think Retail.
Melinda supports strategic initiatives through research, audits, analysis and storytelling. She also oversees the communications strategy at SLD.
WHEN SHE’S NOT AT WORK
Melinda loves high-concept genre bending novels – anything by David Mitchell, N.K. Jemisin, Neil Gaiman or Gabriel García Marquez will do. She also loves well-written non-fiction on almost any subject and riding her bike – yes, even in the city.
