As a proud supporter of athletes for decades, Gatorade set out to honor its partnership with Hockey Canada with a bold limited-edition packaging series. The goal was to capture the true spirit of the game — its speed, power, and heart, through designs that highlight athletes at every stage of their careers, from household names like Sidney Crosby to rising stars of tomorrow. With multiple SKUs, flavors, and athletes, the challenge was to make each design feel personal and energized, while maintaining a cohesive look.
Blink
We tapped into hockey’s core — intensity, movement, and the sharp edge of the competition. This translated visually into a striking background inspired by shattered ice, where angular, geometric shards evoke the crackle of skates on a frozen surface. Each bottle also features the Gatorade “G” and one of four star athletes, Sidney Crosby, Marie-Philip Poulin, Connor Bedard, Sarah Fillier, mid-action or fully engaged in play. The design is further personalized with the player’s jersey number, outlined in a color that matches the bottle’s flavor variant. The result is a tribute to the athletes who embody Canadian hockey and the drink that fuels their journey from local rinks to the world stage.
