Shikatani Lacroix emotionally connects consumers with brands by fusing innovative and visionary design. We are the brainchild of Jean-Pierre Lacroix and Ed Shikatani, who set out in December 1989 to build a company based on these principles. Taking elements from our founding partners’ names, we established our identity combining Shikatani, the Japanese word for “deer”, with Lacroix, meaning “cross” in French. The literal translation “deer crossing” symbolizes the intersection of agile thinking, foresight, and cross-team exchange; qualities that continue to be integral to the Shikatani Lacroix culture today.
