The Town of Essex was created in 1999 by the amalgamation of four communities: Essex, Harrow, Colchester North and Colchester South. The new town needed a visual identity and tagline that would unify the communities and promote it as an up-and-coming tourism, residential and investment destination. Shikatani Lacroix designed a fresh and vibrant logo that reflected its diverse composition. SL also developed a tagline, “Where we belong,” to support the new identity and further unite the region, along with marketing support materials, corporate communication collateral and a positioning statement.
